Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Pega Technical Architect / Senior CSSA who can design, build, and guide enterprise-grade Pega applications. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Pega case management, integrations, user interface design — preferably Constellation — security, DevOps, monitoring, and performance optimization.
The role requires a strong technical leader who can work closely with customers, business analysts, product owners, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and cost-optimized Pega solutions. The candidate should also be aware of the latest Pega platform capabilities such as Pega Blueprint, Process AI, Knowledge Buddy, Pega GenAI Coach, and other AI-powered features.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement Pega applications using best practices, guardrails, reusable components, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Own the technical design for case types, workflows, data models, integrations, user interfaces, security model, and background processing.
• Guide and mentor Pega developers in solution design, rule configuration, code quality, guardrail compliance, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, product owners, scrum masters, testers, and other technology teams to translate business requirements into robust Pega solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, design walkthroughs, solution reviews, impact assessments, and architecture review sessions.
• Design and implement Pega case management solutions including stages, steps, processes, assignments, SLAs, routing, correspondence, and exception handling.
• Build and review integrations using REST, SOAP, file listeners, email listeners, queue processors, job schedulers, data pages, and connectors/services.
• Design modern Pega user experiences using Constellation UI, App Studio, views, reusable UI patterns, and responsive design principles.
• Implement Pega security configurations including access groups, roles, privileges, authentication, authorization, data security, and secure integration patterns.
• Support DevOps and release management using Pega Deployment Manager, branch-based development, CI/CD practices, and deployment governance.
• Monitor application health and performance using Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud — PDC, logs, alerts, PAL, Tracer, Clipboard, and other diagnostic tools.
• Perform performance tuning, root cause analysis, technical debt identification, and application optimization.
• Contribute to cost optimization by recommending efficient design patterns, reusable assets, simplified architecture, and optimized use of platform capabilities.
• Support production deployments, go-live readiness, post-production validation, and issue resolution.
• Stay current with latest Pega Infinity, Constellation, GenAI, Blueprint, Process AI, Knowledge Buddy, Coach, and related platform capabilities.
• Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, coding standards, best practices, knowledge sharing, and internal capability building.
Key Responsibilities
Required Technical Skills
Core Pega Platform
• Strong hands-on experience in Pega PRPC / Pega Infinity.
• Excellent understanding of Pega case management, case lifecycle design, stages, steps, flows, assignments, SLAs, routing, and correspondence.
• Strong knowledge of rule types such as activities, data transforms, decision rules, when rules, declare expressions, report definitions, data pages, flows, flow actions, and sections/views.
• Good understanding of Pega guardrails, application layering, class structure, ruleset management, circumstancing, and reusable component design.
Pega UI / Constellation
• Strong experience in Pega UI design.
• Preferred hands-on exposure to Pega Constellation UI, App Studio, views, portals, personas, channels, and modern UX design.
• Understanding of traditional UI concepts such as sections, harnesses, skins, dynamic layouts, and Theme Cosmos will be useful for modernization scenarios.
Integrations
• Strong experience in designing and implementing integrations using REST, SOAP, connectors, services, data pages, and external systems.
• Good knowledge of integration error handling, data mapping, authentication, retry patterns, and exception management.
• Exposure to file listeners, email listeners, job schedulers, queue processors, and background processing.
Security
• Strong understanding of Pega security model including access groups, roles, privileges, access control policies, authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.
• Ability to design secure solutions for enterprise applications involving sensitive or regulated data.
BIX / Reporting / Data
• Exposure to Pega BIX for data extraction and downstream reporting.
• Good understanding of report definitions, data pages, data types, data transforms, and data modeling.
• Ability to design reporting and audit-friendly data structures.
DevOps and Monitoring
• Exposure to Pega Deployment Manager for DevOps, CI/CD, release orchestration, deployment pipelines, and environment promotion.
• Experience with PDC for application monitoring, alert analysis, performance diagnostics, and proactive issue identification.
• Familiarity with Tracer, Clipboard, PAL, logs, alerts, DB trace, and performance troubleshooting tools.
