Job Summary

AI Engineer, Senior 

  • Location: Remote or hybrid, no on-site requirement
  • Hours: 30–38.5 h/week; part-time from 25 h/week possible
  • Experience: Senior, 5+ years software engineering, 1+ with LLM systems in production. A strong mid (3+ years) with proven production LLM experience will also be considered.
  • Must have: Production LLM systems with evals and regression testing; context engineering over large codebases (chunking, retrieval, context assembly); structured outputs and schema validation; Java, TypeScript/JavaScript; solid bash and CLI; agentic coding tools run headlessly in CI; strong writing
  • Good to have: Python; Software AG Natural, Adabas; multi-model or multi-vendor setups; DAG orchestration (Dagster, Temporal); parsers and static analysis (ANTLR, tree-sitter); legacy modernization exposure; RAG and vector databases; open/self-hosted LLMs (Ollama, in-house)
