Job Summary
Role SummaryThe Senior Teamcenter Technical Specialist will act as a subject matter expert (SME) within the PLM Center of Excellence, driving end-to-end design, architecture, customization, and governance of Siemens Teamcenter across the enterprise. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with the ability to lead solution design discussions, mentor junior consultants, and act as a bridge between business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams. The candidate will be expected to define standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices that scale across multiple business units, plants, or global rollouts, while also exploring GenAI-driven capabilities (e.g., intelligent search, auto-classification, chatbots for engineering change queries, and AI-assisted documentation) to modernize and enhance the PLM landscape.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Solution DesignLead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex Teamcenter solutions across BOM Management, Change Management (ECR/ECO/Deviation), Classification, Structure Manager, Workflow, and Reporting modules.Own technical design decisions for custom development using ITK (Rich Client/SOA), BMIDE, Active Workspace (AWC) customization, and server/client-side extensions.Define and enforce coding standards, upgrade strategies, and reusable component libraries for the CoE.Drive solution architecture for multi-site, multi-CAD Teamcenter deployments, ensuring scalability and performance.
Skill Requirements
Integration & Enterprise SystemsArchitect and oversee integrations between Teamcenter and SAP (ERP), MES, CAD tools (NX, CATIA V5/V6, Creo, SolidWorks), and other enterprise systems using TC-SAP integration frameworks, middleware, or custom SOA services.Lead data migration strategy for large-scale Teamcenter upgrades or legacy PLM-to-Teamcenter migrations (data mapping, cleansing, validation, cutover planning).CoE Governance & StandardizationDefine and maintain CoE templates, reference architectures, and best practice guidelines to be adopted across global implementations.Conduct design reviews and code reviews for projects delivered by other teams/vendors to ensure compliance with CoE standards.Act as an escalation point for critical production issues (L3/L4 support), performing root cause analysis and driving permanent fixes.Support pre-sales/proposal efforts, effort estimation, and technical due diligence for new Teamcenter initiatives (if applicable in services organizations).Explore and implement GenAI/LLM-based use cases within the Teamcenter ecosystem — such as natural language search, auto-generated engineering change summaries, AI-assisted classification/metadata tagging, and copilot-style assistants for PLM users — in collaboration with data science/AI teams.Environment & Release ManagementOversee Teamcenter installation, upgrade, and patching strategy across Dev/QA/Prod landscapes, working with infra and DBA teams.Guide performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability architecture for Teamcenter environments.People & Stakeholder ManagementMentor and technically guide a team of mid-level and junior Teamcenter developers/consultants.Collaborate directly with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and IT leadership to translate business requirements into scalable PLM solutions.Present technical roadmaps, upgrade strategies, and solution proposals to leadership and steering committees.
