Job Summary
The Cerner Millennium EHR Solutions Senior Analyst is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Cerner's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within the organization. This role involves in-depth system configuration, module expertise, and project management to enhance clinical workflows, patient care, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. System Leadership: Take the lead in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Cerner Millennium EHR system, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing subject matter expertise. 2. Module Expertise: Demonstrate advanced expertise in various Cerner solutions and at least 3-5 below modules: o PowerChart o CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry) o Cerner Ambulatory o Cerner FirstNet o Clinical Documentation o ePrescribe o PathNet (Laboratory) o RadNet (Radiology) o PharmNet (Pharmacy) o SurgiNet (Surgery) o ProFile (Revenue Cycle Management) o HIM o Clairvia o RevElate o Cerner RCM o CareAware/BMDI o FetaLink & Women's Health o CCL – Cerner Command Language Good to have o HL7 / FHIR Good to have 3. Project Leadership: Lead EHR-related projects, define project scopes, timelines, and budgets, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting the desired outcomes. 4. Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with healthcare providers to analyze clinical workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to streamline and enhance clinical processes using Cerner solutions. 5. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the data integrity within the EHR system, ensuring accurate data capture, adherence to clinical and regulatory standards, and implementing quality control measures. 6. Issue Resolution: Address complex issues related to the EHR system, work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems, and maintain system stability. 7. User Training: Develop advanced training materials and conduct training sessions for clinical staff and end-users to ensure the effective and compliant use of the EHR system. 8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, issue resolutions, and training materials, ensuring that documentation is accessible for reference and audits. 9. Reporting and Analysis: Generate advanced reports from the EHR system, analyze data to assess its performance, and provide strategic recommendations for improvements. 10. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that EHR system usage complies with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use (MIPS/MACRA), and other relevant regulations. 11. Expertise, Skills, and Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, healthcare administration, or a related field. • Certified in Cerner Millennium EHR or related modules. • Extensive experience working with Cerner EHR systems, including advanced implementation and optimization. • Deep knowledge of Cerner solutions and modules, with advanced expertise in various components. • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead and manage EHR-related projects. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
