Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support and enhance AkzoNobel's cloud and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and monitoring solutions across Azure-based platforms. The role requires strong collaboration with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure application deployments
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & DevOps Automation
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Implement DevSecOps practices including code quality checks, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls.
- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and release governance.
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Management
- Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
- Support cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services.
- Manage Azure Landing Zones, Hub-and-Spoke networking architecture, and security controls.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and high availability.
Containerization & Kubernetes
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Configure ingress controllers, certificates, monitoring, and security policies.
- Troubleshoot container orchestration and deployment issues.
Monitoring & Operations
- Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and dashboards.
- Perform root cause analysis and incident resolution for production issues.
- Automate operational activities to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Security & Governance
- Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and Entra ID.
- Support compliance, audit, and governance initiatives.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement secure cloud solutions.

Other Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Azure certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
