Job Summary
A standard SAP ABAP on S/4HANA Job Description (JD) targets professionals who can transition from traditional ABAP to modern, cloud-ready methodologies. Candidates are expected to design WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) and build solutions using OData, CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP
Key Responsibilities
Key ResponsibilitiesModern Development: Build applications using Core Data Services (CDS), ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).Integration & Extensions: Develop OData services, REST APIs, and integrations via IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs to support S/4HANA and Fiori/UI5.Enhancements: Implement code adjustments utilizing the SAP Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, and User Exits without compromising standard core logic.Migration & Rollout: Translate functional specifications into technical designs, actively debug, optimize performance, and participate in S/4HANA migration projects.
Skill Requirements
Experience: Typically 4 to 12 years in SAP technical delivery depending on the seniority level (developer vs. architect).Technical Skills: Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP), SQL in HANA environments, and Fiori UI5/Fiori Elements understanding.Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks and experience in managing transports and code quality reviews.
