Job Summary
We are looking for an SAP ABAP Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP Business Workflow and core ABAP development. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting custom SAP technical solutions across reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflow objects. The role requires close collaboration with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality SAP solutions aligned to project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP objects including reports, ALV, module pool programs, data dictionary objects, BAPIs, RFCs, BADIs, user exits, customer exits, and enhancement frameworks.
- Develop and maintain SAP Business Workflow objects including workflow templates, tasks, rules, agents, events, bindings, deadlines, and workflow containers.
- Work on workflow troubleshooting using standard SAP tools such as SWDD, SWI1, SWIA, SWEL, SWEC, SWE2, SBWP, PFTC, and related transaction codes.
- Analyze functional specifications and prepare clear technical specifications, effort estimates, unit test cases, and deployment documentation.
- Support integration requirements using IDocs, ALE, proxies, RFCs, APIs, or file-based interfaces as per project need.
- Develop and modify SAP forms such as Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, or output-related enhancements.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, code remediation, defect fixing, and root-cause analysis for production issues.
- Ensure ABAP development follows coding standards, naming conventions, transport processes, quality checks, and peer review guidelines.
- Coordinate with functional teams across modules such as FI, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, or HR depending on project scope.
- Participate in project activities including requirement workshops, build, unit testing, SIT, UAT support, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of relevant SAP ABAP development experience with hands-on SAP Workflow implementation or support exposure.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within planned timelines in a multi-team project environment.
