Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments. The role is responsible for database availability, performance, security, backup and recovery, upgrades, and production support. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, performance tuning, and Linux/Unix environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and monitor Oracle databases.
  • Manage backup, recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.
  • Creating, modifying, and monitoring scheduled jobs (backups, stats gathering, purges, maintenance scripts)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure database availability.
  • Manage database security, users, roles, and access controls.
  • Support database migrations, refreshes, deployments, and disaster-recovery activities.
  • Automate routine database administration tasks using SQL, PL/SQL, or shell scripting.

Skill Requirements

  • 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix, SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and production-support skills.
  • Cloud or Oracle Exadata experience is preferred.
