Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Typically 3–7+ years of experience in Informatica administration, depending on the seniority of the role.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Informatica Suite: Expert knowledge of PowerCenter, IICS/IDMC, Data Quality (IDQ), and Master Data Management (MDM).
    • Operating Systems: Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
    • Databases: Proficiency in Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2, including complex SQL and performance tuning.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for collaborating with data architects and developers. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration: Lead the installation, configuration, and patching of Informatica Domain components, including Secure Agents and Repository Services.
  • User & Security Management: Manage domain security, user access roles, and privileges; integrate authentication with enterprise LDAP or Active Directory.
  • Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot workflow failures, and optimize platform performance to ensure high availability.
  • Deployment & Code Migration: Manage the migration of code (labels, folders, deployment groups) across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for Informatica repositories and configurations.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze resource consumption and perform capacity assessments to support future scalability and upgrades.
