SAP IBP Functional Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Signify is amid the design, build and deployment of a global greenfield S/4HANA solution. To support the deployment and ensure stable operations and continuous optimization, we are establishing a global application maintenance organization.
The SAP IBP Functional Engineer is responsible for supporting the S/4 HANA deployments and supporting and optimizing SAP Integrated Business Planning solutions in a post go-live AMS environment. Collaborates within a global team and works closely with business stakeholders, partners and cross-functional teams to ensure stable, compliant and efficient planning processes. The role focuses on functional support, issue resolution, system stability and operational effectiveness, with strong emphasis on Demand Planning and Supply Planning processes as well as integration with source and reporting systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Support Supply Chain Business Process Owners, key users and project teams in maintaining SAP IBP solutions aligned to the global template and deploying the global S/4 HANA implementation on a local level.
- Support and enhance SAP IBP planning capabilities across Demand Planning, Supply planning (as well time series (TS) as order based Planning (OBP)), Inventory Optimization and S&OP.
- Provide end-to-end functional support in an AMS environment including incident management, service requests, defect resolution and root cause analysis in line with agreed service levels.
- Monitor and manage planning jobs, batch processes and system integrations with ECC / S/4HANA and BW / BI, ensuring stable and consistent planning operations.
- Support critical business planning cycles and ensure timely resolution of issues impacting global operations.
- Support planning processes with strong integration across ERP, Manufacturing, Warehousing, EIM/BW, Basis and Integration domains.
- Provide user support, functional guidance and knowledge sharing to enable consistent adoption and operational effectiveness.
- Support legacy integration and transition scenarios leveraging knowledge of SAP APO SNP where applicable
Critical Experiences and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in SAP IBP support with strong functional expertise in Demand Planning (DP), Supply Planning (OBP/TS) and Inventory Optimization.
- Strong understanding of IBP integrations with ECC / S/4HANA, BW / BI and data integration tools (eg. CI-DS, CI, SDI, RTI)
- Experience working in a global application maintenance support or production support environment including stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in system enhancements, incident resolution, problem management, testing and delivery of supportable business solutions.
- Experience supporting critical planning operations and business process continuity.
- SAP APO knowledge and SAP IBP certifications are an advantage.
- Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of IT delivery methodologies and service management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
