Job Summary
Experience: 6–7 years | Preferred Domain: Banking / Financial Services | Role Type: Technology Migration, Modernization and AI-enabled Delivery
Role Summary
We are looking for experienced technology migration professionals with 6–7 years of hands-on experience in application, platform, data, cloud, or legacy modernization programs. The ideal candidate should have worked on end-to-end migration initiatives, preferably in the banking or financial services domain, and should be comfortable using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, code conversion, testing, defect resolution, and delivery productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in technology migration and modernization programs involving legacy applications, databases, middleware, integrations, or cloud platforms.
- Assess existing systems, dependencies, interfaces, data flows, batch jobs, reports, and business-critical processes to support migration planning.
- Prepare migration impact assessments, technical analysis documents, mapping specifications, conversion plans, and validation checklists.
- Support code migration, data migration, environment migration, platform upgrades, or application re-engineering activities as per project scope.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for code analysis, documentation generation, test case creation, defect triage, knowledge extraction, and productivity improvement.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, testers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth migration execution.
- Identify migration risks, technical blockers, data quality issues, regulatory considerations, and operational dependencies early in the lifecycle.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, reconciliation, parallel runs, cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-migration stabilization.
- Ensure compliance with banking-grade standards for security, auditability, data privacy, access control, and production change governance.
Skill Requirements
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or regulated enterprise environments.
- Exposure to migration from legacy to modern technology platforms, monolith to microservices, on-premises to cloud, or manual processes to automated delivery models.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, version control, automated testing, observability, and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to evaluate where AI can improve migration productivity, reduce manual effort, improve quality, and accelerate knowledge transition.
- Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or large-scale transformation programs with distributed teams.
- 6–7 years of IT experience with at least 2–3 years in technology migration, modernization, upgrade, re-platforming, cloud migration, or data migration programs.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, migration lifecycle, release management, change management, and production support processes.
- Hands-on experience in one or more technology stacks such as Java, .NET, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, Mainframe, ETL, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, or enterprise integration technologies.
- Experience in analyzing legacy code, databases, stored procedures, interfaces, reports, jobs, and technical dependencies.
- Ability to create technical documentation, migration runbooks, cutover plans, issue logs, reconciliation reports, and status updates.
- Working knowledge of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT-style assistants, code conversion accelerators, test generation tools, or AI-based documentation tools.
- Good understanding of banking processes such as payments, cards, lending, deposits, customer onboarding, trade finance, risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting will be preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-
AI Enablement Expectations
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate code understanding, reverse engineering, documentation, test design, and issue analysis.
- Validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, compliance, and maintainability before use in project deliverables.
- Identify repeatable migration tasks that can be automated or AI-assisted.
- Contribute to prompt templates, reusable checklists, migration accelerators, and knowledge assets.
- Demonstrate openness to learning new AI tools and applying them in day-to-day delivery without compromising governance or quality.
