Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python Automation Engineer with strong Python development, automation scripting, and Unix/Linux administration expertise to support enterprise storage and infrastructure environments. The role focuses on developing automation solutions, monitoring frameworks, operational tooling, and supporting storage-related platforms while ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Python-based automation solutions for infrastructure and storage operations.
Create and support automation scripts, execution packages, JCLs, monitoring tools, and operational workflows.
Maintain technical documentation for all deliverables, automation solutions, and operational procedures.
Support and maintain High Availability (HA) HSM environments across Production and Practice environments.
Implement and support automated storage pool monitoring and corrective actions for Production and Practice environments.
Develop, execute, and maintain RFB and IVP activities for storage, disk, and tape solutions.
Archive and maintain audit and compliance evidence in NFS-based long-term storage repositories.
Install, manage, and support storage-related certificates through the CLMUI tool.
Develop and maintain dashboards with key storage, capacity, availability, and operational metrics.
Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and operations teams to improve service reliability and automation capabilities

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in Python development and automation scripting.
6-10 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
Strong Unix/Linux administration experience.
Experience with Git and source code management.
Experience using Jenkins for CI/CD and automation.
Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and operational automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

REXX programming experience.
JCL development and batch processing knowledge.
Experience supporting enterprise storage environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within global teams.
Strong documentation and technical writing capabilities.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
