Job Summary

Accountabilities:

 

1. Enhancement and maintenance of PLUK Core admin system

 

2. Work closely with other front-end system application team to ensure end-to-end software lifecycle is robust

 

3. Ensuring the Applications Management function is aligned with company strategy.

 

4. Define and document scope changes during the project life cycle.

 

5. Collaborate with business teams to understand and suggest best & efficient solution to cater to business needs

 

6. Analyze problems and implement appropriate technical solutions

 

7. Prepare the technical specification

 

8. Maintain and document the changes

 

9. Conduct Unit/Integration testing

 

10. Complete the assignments within the agreed deadline

 

11. Quality analysis of the programs/system before acceptance testing

 

12. Work closely with Business Analyst to deliver a robust and error-free application systems

 

13. Ensure that all development and implementation are compliant with IT governance policy

 

14. Technical review and quality analysis of the code done by junior members to ensure learning and motivation for subordinates

 

Key Responsibilities

Skill Requirements

 

1. Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and engineering.

 

2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in Experience in AS/400, SMART/400 based insurance applications specialized in Life/400, Life/Asia application.

 

3. Experience in working with LifeAsia SOAP API’s

 

4. Provide a good quality level of SMART/400 based insurance applications.

 

5. Develops, customizes, enhances, maintains, and supports Life/400, Life/Asia, Integral Life Insurance software application system

 

Desirable:

 

1. Strong analytical skill

 

2. Strong co-ordination skills required to liaise with counterparts within the Company.

 

3. Experience in conceptual and functional business process modeling.

 

4. Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus

 

5. Relationship management skills

 

6. Being able to communicate in fluent English
