Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: Essential: • 5-8 years of hands-on experience with OBIEE 12c (RPD development, Answers, Dashboards, BI Publisher) • Good Knowledge in Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views) • Experience with OBIEE administration: managing users, security, cache, session management, and system configuration • Strong SQL tuning and database performance optimization skills • Knowledge of star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling concepts • Familiarity with OBIEE architecture, components (BI Server, Presentation Server, Scheduler, Cluster Controller) • Understanding of LDAP/Active Directory integration for authentication Preferred Skills: • Basic Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, ODI, SSIS) • Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) • sssssExperience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies • Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation • Agile/Scrum methodology experience Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain OBIEE 11g/12c dashboards, reports, and analytics using Answers, Interactive Dashboards, and Publisher • Build and optimize RPD (Repository) metadata layers including physical, business model and mapping, and presentation layers • Create complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in Oracle Database (11g/19c) or other RDBMS platforms • Perform OBIEE administration tasks including user/group management, security configuration, cache management, and performance tuning • Develop BI Publisher (XML Publisher) reports with complex layouts, templates, and data models • Implement row-level security, object-level security, and data-level security in OBIEE • Optimize OBIEE performance through query optimization, aggregate tables, and caching strategies • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications • Perform ETL operations and data integration from multiple source systems • Troubleshoot and resolve OBIEE application and database performance issues • Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, data dictionaries, and user guides • Mentor junior team members and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
