Job Summary
Job responsibilitiesDesign and implement new user-facing features in Google’s products.Write client-side code for web-based applications, create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.Optimize web applications to maximize speed and scale. Support diverse clients from high powered desktop computers to small footprint mobile devices.Build the libraries and frameworks that support large, complex web applications.Areas of software development include:Frontend development (Angular JS, TS)Exposure to Backend services (Java)Exposure to data and analytics pipelinesQualifications:Hands-on coder with lots of experience, 8-10 years overall and 3-4 years in Angular and TypescriptStrong programming skills in modern Web Technology such as Angular 2 or higher, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, d3.js, NodeJS, etc.Strong back-end experience using Java, Python or JavaScript, and associated web containersAdvanced knowledge of multithreading or multi-process development – essential knowledge in enterprise developmentPassion for Automated Testing – unit, integration, regression is plusExperienced user of CI/CD tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins is a plusComfortable in discussing Object-Oriented Analysis, and Design, including an opinion on Design PatternsDistributed caching experience is a plusSome experience working with Google Cloud Platform a plusBachelor’s Degree educated, or higherCompetencies:Strong communication skillsExcellent analytical/problem solving skills.Ability to express ideas or analysis with clarityDeliver high level of service through responsiveness and accuracyVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with changing priorities
