Job Summary

DevOps/GCP Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Build and operate the Google Cloud Horizontal Operations platform, including landing zones, delivery pipelines, GitOps, monitoring, recovery, and onboarding automation.

Skill Requirements

Design and implement Google Cloud landing zones using folders, projects, quotas, labels, and organization policies.
Build Terraform modules for projects, networking, IAM, GKE, monitoring, logging, and platform services.
Design Shared VPC architectures including networking, routing, DNS, firewalls, and private connectivity.
Implement GitLab and Cloud Build pipelines for build, test, scan, sign, deploy, and rollback operations.
Manage Artifact Registry with repository governance, provenance, retention, and security controls.
Build and operate GKE clusters, node pools, autoscaling, upgrades, fleet management, and workload identity.
Implement GitOps using Config Sync, Policy Controller, Fleet Management, and environment promotion workflows.
Deploy workloads to Cloud Run and GKE using automated release strategies and traffic controls.
Integrate Developer Connect, SCM systems, webhooks, triggers, and merge-request workflows.
Provision ephemeral development and test environments with lifecycle controls and cost governance.
Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, SLOs, error budgets, alerts, and operational dashboards.
Automate backup, restore, disaster recovery validation, and platform maintenance processes.
Integrate Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, Binary Authorization, and policy controls into delivery pipelines.
Build self-service onboarding frameworks, platform APIs, templates, scorecards, and golden pipelines.
Drive platform releases through Infrastructure-as-Code, peer review, staged promotion, and production validation.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
