Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP PP Consultant with strong knowledge of manufacturing and production planning processes. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA, configuration, MRP, production orders, master data, capacity planning, and integration with other SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support end-to-end SAP Production Planning (PP) processes.
- Work extensively on:
- Demand Management
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Production Orders
- Planned Orders
- Capacity Planning
- Shop Floor Control
- Production Execution
- Repetitive Manufacturing
- Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order scenarios
- Configure and manage PP master data, including:
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Work Centers
- Routings
- Production Versions
- Material Master
- Support MRP Live and production-planning processes in SAP S/4HANA.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions and system configurations.
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms.
- Work closely with ABAP and technical teams for custom developments.
- Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing issues.
- Support integration of PP with SAP MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, PM, and EWM.
- Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, and user guides.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and production planning business processes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Production Planning.
- Strong knowledge of MRP, BOM, Work Centers, Routings, Production Versions, Production Orders, and Capacity Planning.
- Good understanding of discrete and repetitive manufacturing scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of PP integration with MM, QM, SD, CO, PM, and warehouse processes.
- Experience in implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production-support projects.
- Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to SAP PP/DS or Advanced Planning concepts.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to production planning and execution.
- Experience with manufacturing integration and shop-floor processes.
- SAP S/4HANA certification is an added advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or energy/wind industry would be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
A hands-on SAP PP professional capable of independently managing business requirements, functional design, configuration, testing, production support, and cross-functional integration in an SAP S/4HANA manufacturing environment.
