Job Summary

Core Java Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Core Java (Java 8 to Java 21+) features and enhancements.
  • Hands-on experience with Java Streams API, Lambda Expressions, Functional Interfaces, and Optional.
  • Strong understanding of Java Collections Framework and performance implications of different collection types.
  • Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Design Principles (SOLID), interfaces, abstraction, inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism.
  • Expertise in implementing and applying Design Patterns (Factory, Strategy, Singleton, Builder, Observer, etc.)
  • Expertise in Multithreading, Concurrency, Executor Framework, CompletableFuture, and asynchronous processing.

Advanced Concepts

  • Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud components.
  • Secure Coding Practices (OWASP Top 10)
  • Strong understanding of JVM internals, memory management, garbage collection, and JVM performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Threads and modern Java concurrency models.
  • Knowledge of thread safety, synchronization, locking mechanisms, and concurrent collections.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka-based event-driven architectures and Redis-based distributed caching solutions or similar technologies.
  • Strong expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, database performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Application Architecture

  • Experience in designing scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and messaging patterns.
  • Experience with SAGA, API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Retry, and Bulkhead patterns, Service Discovery

Security

  • Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, and Spring Security.
  • Understanding application security best practices and secure coding standards.

Testing & Quality

  • Hands-on experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, Integration Testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience with code quality tools such as SonarQube and static code analysis.

Desirable Skills / Good to Have (Added Advantage)

  • Familiarity with cloud-native application development and deployment on OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes (K8s), and public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of application monitoring and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)

Observability & Production Support

  • Experience in log analysis, performance monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
