Senior Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP iMRO/4 and SAP S/4HANA Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) to support a major defence client.
The consultant will work independently and collaborate with business stakeholders and other functional/technical stream leads to plan and conduct SAP Discovery Workshops. The role requires strong advisory, workshop facilitation, solution assessment, and roadmap-development capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, organize, and execute SAP Discovery Workshops with client business teams and other stream leads.
  • Understand the client's existing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul processes, business requirements, pain points, and future objectives.
  • Assess existing business processes against SAP iMRO/4 and SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
  • Provide SME-level guidance on SAP iMRO/4, S/4HANA and SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to identify requirements, process gaps, dependencies, and potential improvement areas.
  • Evaluate the proposed solution against relevant SAP standard capabilities and alternative solution approaches.
  • Identify opportunities for process standardization and adoption of standard SAP functionality.
  • Work closely with other functional and technical stream leads to identify cross-functional dependencies and integration requirements.
  • Translate workshop findings into clear business and solution recommendations.
  • Prepare and present discovery outcomes to client stakeholders.

Other Requirements

  • Strong hands-on functional and consulting experience with SAP iMRO/4, SAP S/4HANA and SAP PM.
  • Experience leading SAP discovery, assessment, transformation, or roadmap engagements.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end MRO and maintenance processes.
  • Experience working independently as an SAP SME / Functional Solution Consultant.
  • Ability to compare business requirements with standard SAP capabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Experience producing executive-level roadmaps, heat maps, solution assessments, and workshop outcome documents.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with complex enterprise environments involving multiple SAP functional and technical streams.
  • Defence, aerospace, aviation, engineering, or asset-intensive industry experience would be highly desirable.
