Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.

Job Summary: We are seeking an accomplished Technical Lead – Tooling to oversee the development and support of enterprise applications and tooling solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and Oracle technologies, as well as proven experience leading teams working with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, XL Release, GitHub, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and operational support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, development, and support of Java-based applications and Oracle databases.
• Manage and mentor a team of developers and DevOps engineers, promoting best practices in software delivery and support.
• Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other industry-standard tools.
• Oversee workflows and integrations across Jira, Confluence, XL Release, GitHub, Bitbucket, and related platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications and tooling environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in both development and production settings.
• Document technical designs, operational procedures, and support processes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and innovation within the team.

Other Requirements

Skills and Expertise:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java (Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs) and Oracle (PL/SQL, performance tuning, database design).
• Proven experience managing DevOps teams and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, XL Release, GitHub, Bitbucket, and related tools.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and ITIL support processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Experience in both application development and production support.

Preferred Certifications

•  Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Relevant certifications in Java, Oracle, or DevOps tools.
• Exposure to regulatory compliance and security best practices.
