Job Summary
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher Managed Kubernetes Clusters for one of our major enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices for container platform architecture and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher (RKE/RKE2) Kubernetes clusters. • Architect highly available, scalable, and secure container platforms.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch OpenShift and Rancher clusters.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK stack, etc.).
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, storage, and application issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and optimize platform performance.
• Act as an SME for OpenShift and Rancher technologies, providing guidance to customers and application teams.
• Create documentation, standards, and operational runbooks. Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher (RKE/RKE2).
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations.
• Experience supporting mixed OS environments (Windows and Linux).
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications such as RHCA, CKA, CKAD.
• Active participation in the Kubernetes community is a plus
Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
