Skillset/JD: We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Engineering Lead with 8+ years of experience in enterprise data warehousing and big data platforms. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks (Scala), ADLS, SQL Hyperscale, and modern cloud-based data architecture.
The role requires designing scalable data platforms, optimizing large-scale data workloads, and leading cloud data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise-scale data warehouse and lakehouse architectures
Develop and optimize big data processing using Azure Databricks (Scala)
Build and manage solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated & Serverless SQL Pools)
Implement high-performance solutions using Azure SQL Hyperscale
Design data storage strategies using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Develop advanced SQL queries and performance tuning strategies
Lead migration of on-prem data warehouse to Azure cloud
Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
