Job Summary

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle for complex enterprise payment programmes, from discovery and chartering through design, build, testing, rollout, operational readiness and stabilisation. 

  • Develop integrated programme plans, milestones, budgets, resource models, governance routines and measurable success criteria. 

  • Lead delivery across multiple product teams, business functions, vendors, geographies and time zones, while maintaining clear accountability for outcomes. 

  • Partner with architects and engineering leaders on solution reviews, technical feasibility, integration patterns, non-functional requirements and implementation sequencing. 

  • Drive delivery of payment capabilities such as authorisation, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, tokenisation, payment gateway integration, reconciliation and transaction monitoring. 

  • Manage cross-programme dependencies across commerce, point-of-sale, order management, finance, fraud, security, data and customer experience platforms. 

  • Identify, assess and actively manage programme risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and dependencies; establish timely escalation and resolution paths. 

  • Coordinate test strategy and release readiness across functional, integration, regression, performance, security, resilience and production validation activities. 

  • Ensure operational readiness through support models, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, incident response, vendor support and business continuity planning. 

  • Provide concise, transparent reporting to sponsors, stakeholders and senior leadership, including delivery health, financials, risks, decisions and business impact. 

  • Contribute to strategic roadmaps, portfolio reviews, investment planning and prioritisation for enterprise payment capabilities. 

  • Drive continuous improvement in programme governance, delivery flow, automation, quality, communication and resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiates, plans, controls, and implements medium to large cross-divisional, multi-year projects utilizing Lululemon’s project management practices
  • Ensures overall deliverables are completed, including project charter, plan, schedule, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, policies and procedures, standards, contracts, risks, and issues resolutions
  • Plans projects in detail, develops and manages project budgets, organizes project teams and works with resource managers to coordinate and align resource needs
  • Identifies, evaluates, and proactively manages cross-project interdependencies
  • Manages progress of efforts and communicates status to sponsors, stakeholders on a regular basis and to senior leadership as needed
  • Participates in strategic roadmap planning and may facilitate and provide materials for portfolio review meetings
  • Excellent communication skills, able to flex style and work with all levels within the organization from individual contributors to Executives
  • Proactively identify opportunities and contribute to continuous business process improvement efforts to help streamline and standardize workflow, communication, and resource efficiencies utilizing relative process improvement techniques and methodologies.
  • Ensures smooth implementation of new technologies and vendor integrations by using their expertise on their assigned domains and interfaces
  • May conduct technical walkthroughs with software engineers to ensure technical feasibility and standards across departments.
  • Collaborates with operations support and other teams to ensure robust production operations

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience delivering complex technology initiatives, including 10+ years in project or programme management. 

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large, cross-functional programmes through the full software development lifecycle. 

  • Hands-on experience in enterprise payments, retail payments, payment gateways, payment orchestration, merchant acquiring or related financial transaction platforms. 

  • Experience creating and executing implementation strategies for complex, highly integrated and business-critical systems. 

  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, DevOps and Lean delivery practices, with the judgement to apply the right approach for the programme context. 

  • Ability to lead technical discussions involving APIs, event-driven integrations, distributed systems, cloud platforms, databases and high-availability services. 

  • Experience estimating effort and impact, managing budgets and capacity, and influencing technical and business decisions. 

  • Strong relationship, organisational change, facilitation, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills. 

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively from engineering teams to executive leadership. 

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with urgency, discipline and attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
