Role Summary
The Dynamics 365 CI/CD, Release & Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing and governing enterprise deployment pipelines, environment lifecycle, release processes and infrastructure automation across Dynamics 365 CE, Dynamics 365 F&O, Power Platform and Azure integration services. The role ensures secure, auditable and repeatable delivery using DevOps best practices, automation & quality gates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using Classic & YAML for build, test, release and deployment activities.
- Define multi-stage deployment processes across DEV, TEST, UAT, Pre-Prod and PROD environments with approvals, quality gates, rollback and audit controls.
- Own Dynamics 365 F&O build and release processes including LCS deployments, deployable packages, environment lifecycle, database refresh and application upgrade activities.
- Manage Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform ALM including solution packaging, Dataverse deployments, Power Platform Build Tools, PAC CLI and administration activities.
- Plan and manage environment provisioning, decommissioning, monitoring and performance health checks using LCS, Power Platform Admin Center and related tools.
- Deploy and govern Azure integration components such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management and Service Bus using ARM, Bicep or Terraform.
- Maintain release calendars, deployment checklists, technical build documents, release repositories, dependencies and notification lists in Azure DevOps Wiki.
- Implement Git branching, merging and code promotion strategies for custom code, ISV fixes and emergency bug releases.
- Coordinate planned releases, emergency fixes, Microsoft hotfixes, platform updates and CE wave releases with business, functional, technical and ISV teams.
Skill Requirements
- Lead CAB discussions, release readiness reviews, milestone reviews and Go/No-Go activities for production deployments.
- Drive DevOps governance by maintaining secure, reusable, standardized and auditable pipelines, templates and operational checklists.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into pipelines to improve release confidence and reduce manual validation effort.
- Work with Microsoft Support for critical backend, LCS, platform or production issues using appropriate support channels.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Azure DevOps Pipelines, YAML, Git, branching strategies, pull requests and release governance.
- Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O build, release, LCS deployment, package management, database refresh and environment management processes.
- Good experience in Dynamics 365 CE solution lifecycle management, Dataverse deployment and Power Platform administration.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Infrastructure and integration services including Logic Apps, Functions, API Management, Service Bus and Azure SQL.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform.
- Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation, validation, deployment support and operational reporting.
- Experience in test automation integration with CI/CD pipelines and release quality controls.
- Strong understanding of access and identity management, security controls and audit requirements for enterprise environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot application, deployment, infrastructure and integration issues across D365 and Azure services.
- Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, customer handling and documentation skills.

- Power Platform: Environment administration, governance, pipeline awareness, connection references, service principals and deployment validation.
Azure & Infrastructure Focus Areas
- Azure DevOps pipeline architecture, reusable YAML templates, variable groups, service connections, approvals and release gates.
- Azure integration deployments for Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIM and Service Bus.
- Infrastructure automation using ARM, Bicep or Terraform with secure parameter management and environment-specific configuration.
- Monitoring, performance health checks and operational support for D365 and Azure components.
Desirable Skills & Certifications
- Power Platform Pipelines and advanced ALM governance experience.
- AI-driven test automation or intelligent regression testing tools.
- Enterprise-scale D365 rollout, upgrade, migration and global support experience.
- Certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-104, PL-400, MB-300, MB-500 or relevant Dynamics 365 certifications.
