Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Architect with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Cloud Technologies, and CI/CD to lead the architecture and delivery of large-scale enterprise applications in the Payments and Banking domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining technology strategy, designing scalable and resilient solutions, establishing architecture standards, mentoring engineering teams, and driving modernization initiatives across enterprise platforms. The role requires strong experience in cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, DevOps practices, and payment processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise payment applications.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable microservices-based solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and messaging platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple development teams.
• Define API standards, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture best practices.
• Drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives using AWS/Azure platforms.
• Lead CI/CD implementation and DevOps transformation initiatives.
• Design and govern containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, resilience, security, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technology assessments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver business objectives.
• Define monitoring, logging, observability, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Mentor architects, technical leads, and development teams.
• Drive innovation through emerging technologies, automation, and engineering best practices.
• Support production issue resolution and performance optimization initiatives

Skill Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong expertise in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and Distributed Systems Design.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and Messaging Systems (MQ/JMS).
• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs, API Gateway solutions, and Microservices-based platforms.
• Strong experience with Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA, and Design Patterns.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Maven, and SonarQube.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Cloud-Native Application Development.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB databases.
• Expertise in DevOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Release Management.
• Strong understanding of Application Security, OAuth2, JWT, Secure Coding Practices, and PCI-DSS Compliance.
• Experience in Performance Engineering, Scalability, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery Solutions.
• Proficient with Monitoring and Observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Strong background in Payments Domain, including RTP, ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022, Payment Gateway Integration, Clearing & Settlement, and Reconciliation.
• Experience in defining Architecture Standards, Technical Governance, and Technology Roadmaps.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in Stakeholder Management, Team Mentoring, Architecture Reviews, and Agile Delivery Management.
