Job Summary
| The IDP Lab consists of 3 major products, each with a different skill profile 1.Backstage.io based Internal Developer Portal incorporating Team Workspace. – Front End React, Typescript, nodeJS, running on Azure AKS, with Azure Postgres database 2.Golden Paths – Front End as above plus Terraform & Harness CI/CD skills 3.Orchestration – Backend - Written in Python, in depth knowledge of Terraform, secrets management via HashiCorp Vault, role-based access control, and automated compliance scanning with Sentinel & OPA, in addition integration with Github & knowledge of APIs inc set up in Proxy |

| 3 x Front end Skills requirements – Software Engineer - Details As per above summary in “In scope Technologies & Products” plus • Extensive experience in writing frontend applications within the React Framework in JavaScript or Typescript • Applied understanding of security best practises including secrets management, building into a CICD workflow • Experience creating end-to-end automation testing as part of a release framework using common industry tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) • Integrating RESTful APIs in frontend Applications • Building and maintaining CICD pipelines • Applied familiarity with industry tools, NodeJS, Git/GitHub, Jest/React testing Library. Essential Technical Skills · JavaScript/TypeScript, React JS, Node JS · Jest Unit Testing & automated Functional Testing (e.g. Playwright, Cypress) · Experience building and deploying applications to Cloud (Azure & GCP) · Git / GitHub Desirable -Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes. PostgreSQL. DevOps, Backstage 2 x Back End Skills Requirements – Infrastructure Developer - Details • Extensive experience building solutions following Infrastructure as Code best practices employing Terraform and Hashicorp Vault • Experience of building backend services, such as APIs or data processing pipelines, in Python and at least one other programming language. • Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs • Ensures that quality is part of everything that you and your team do, including experience of the leading automated testing frameworks, quality engineering and robust enterprise release management practices. • Experience with containerisation & Kubernetes, building CI/CD pipelines and building secure solutions • Experience of leading, mentoring and coaching other engineers both those more junior and sharing knowledge with peers. |
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop responsive web applications using react, angular, and java technologies
2. Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and features
3. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues to ensure optimal performance
4. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to set standards
5. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in react, angular, and java to suggest improvements and drive technical innovation
