Job Summary

Senior SAP BODS Lead/Architect (15+ years) responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-grade ETL/data migration solutions across SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW).
Role includes hands-on BODS development, performance optimization, large-scale data migration, and integration with SAP/non-SAP systems while ensuring data quality and governance.
Also involves leading teams, engaging stakeholders, and driving end-to-end delivery of complex data transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) Lead/Architect with over 15 years of experience in data integration, data migration, and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions, primarily in SAP landscapes, while leading teams and engaging with business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & DesignLead the design and architecture of SAP BODS-based ETL and data integration solutionsDefine data migration strategies for SAP implementations (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, etc.)Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelinesEstablish data quality, governance, and standards frameworksDevelopment & DeliveryHands-on development of BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflowsOptimize ETL processes for performance tuning and efficiencyManage complex data transformation, cleansing, and validation logicHandle data extraction from SAP and non-SAP systemsLeadership & Stakeholder ManagementLead and mentor a team of ETL developers and data engineersCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirementsDrive end-to-end delivery of data integration projectsProvide technical leadership and contribute to decision-makingData Migration & IntegrationExecute large-scale SAP data migration projects, including:Data extraction, transformation, and loadingData reconciliation and validationIntegrate SAP systems with cloud platforms and third-party systemsSupport M&A data consolidation and harmonization projectsGovernance & Best PracticesImplement data governance, data quality, and metadata management policiesEnsure compliance with security and regulatory standardsCreate and maintain technical documentation and standardsRequired Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsStrong expertise in SAP BODS (SAP Data Services)Experience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and HANAProficiency in ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modelingHands-on experience in:SQL (advanced level)Data profiling and cleansingPerformance tuning of ETL jobsExperience working with large datasets (millions+ records)SAP Integration KnowledgeDeep understanding of SAP data structures (IDoc, BAPI, Tables, CDS views)Experience with LSMW, Migration Cockpit, or other migration tools is a plusFamiliarity with SLT, SDI, or CPI is advantageousCloud & Modern Data Stack (Preferred)Exposure to SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics CloudExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Knowledge of modern data engineering tools is a plusLeadership & Soft SkillsProven experience leading large teams (8–20 members)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in cross-functional and global teamsEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fieldSAP certifications in BODS / Data Services / S/4HANA are preferredPreferred ExperienceExperience in end-to-end
