Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter Migration Architect to lead end-to-end data and system migration initiatives across Teamcenter environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing migration strategies, ensuring data integrity, and guiding technical teams during complex PLM transformations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Migration Strategy & Planning
- Define overall migration architecture, approach, and roadmap for Teamcenter upgrades or transformations.
- Analyze legacy systems and design data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) strategies.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
2. Data Migration Execution
- Lead migration of:
- Item, BOM, and Document structures
- Workflows, datasets, and metadata
- Users, roles, and access controls
- Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation post-migration.
- Define and implement data cleansing and normalization strategies.
3. Technical Architecture
- Design scalable solutions for:
- Teamcenter to Teamcenter migration (upgrade or re-platform)
- Legacy PLM/CAD systems to Teamcenter
- Define integration strategy with CAD systems (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and downstream tools.
- Implement migration using tools like:
- Teamcenter Data Migration Utilities
- ITK, BMIDE, SOA, TCXML
- Custom scripts/APIs
Skill Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Siemens Teamcenter (Unified / Active Workspace).
- Hands-on experience with:
- ITK, BMIDE, SOA, TCXML
- Data migration tools and utilities
- Experience with database systems (Oracle / SQL Server).
- Working knowledge of CAD integrations (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Scripting (Python/Shell) for automation is an added advantage.
Migration Experience
- Proven experience in:
- Teamcenter version upgrades (e.g., TC10 → TC13+)
- Legacy system to Teamcenter migrations
- Exposure to large-scale data migration (millions of objects).
Architecture & Design
- Ability to design end-to-end migration solutions.
- Strong understanding of PLM data models (Item, BOM, Workflow, Dataset).
