Senior Technical Specialist

Job Summary

Required experience: approximately 12-16 years of relevant engineering experience. The Full Stack Engineer - Proficient will deliver end-to-end application features across frontend, backend, API and cloud layers. The role is expected to support Bayer squad delivery by building secure, scalable and maintainable digital products aligned to platform standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive frontend components, backend APIs and integration layers for Bayer digital products.
  • Translate user stories, UI requirements and acceptance criteria into production-ready application features.
  • Build React-based user interfaces and Node.js / Python-based service layers.
  • Integrate applications with APIs, cloud services, authentication mechanisms and data sources.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, sprint ceremonies and release readiness activities.
  • Ensure quality through unit testing, API testing, frontend testing, accessibility and secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with UX, product, data, platform and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end outcomes

Skill Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js and Python.
  • Experience building REST APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
  • Good understanding of AWS, cloud-native patterns, CI/CD, Git and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of frontend performance, accessibility, secure development and API integration patterns.
  • Ability to design reusable components, service boundaries and maintainable application structures.

Other Requirements

  • Experience working in product-oriented agile delivery teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with Bayer squad leads, product owners and platform stakeholders.
  • Good to have: Agentic AI experience, AI-assisted frontend/backend generation, service scaffolding agents, UI design agents, test generation agents or spec-driven development workflows.
  • Good to have: Experience modernizing existing applications or integrating with enterprise platforms.
