Job Summary
An SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) professional configures, manages, and supports cloud-based payroll systems. They ensure accurate gross-to-net pay calculations, handle statutory tax compliance, and maintain seamless data integration between core HR platforms and the global payroll engine.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
System Configuration: Manage wage types, payroll schemas, rules, and country-specific payroll settings within the ECP system.
Data Integration: Oversee the master data replication from Employee Central (EC) to ECP using integration tools like the Business Integration Builder (BIB).
Payroll Execution: Lead and monitor the end-to-end payroll lifecycle—from pre-payroll checks and retroactive calculations to final execution and posting to finance.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all statutory taxes, social contributions, and local labor laws are accurately implemented for required geographies.
Payroll Control Center (PCC): Utilize PCC functionalities to automate discrepancy alerts, validate policies, and resolve payroll anomalies in real time before processing.
Testing & Support: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), troubleshoot system errors, and apply periodic SAP tax updates and patches.

Experience: Typically requires 3 to 8+ years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP SuccessFactors Payroll and core HR modules.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring wage types, BSI Tax Factory, GL integration, and payroll schemas.
Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of end-to-end hire-to-retire HR processes and multi-country regulatory requirements.
Soft Skills: Ability to collaborate globally with cross-functional IT, HR, and finance teams to design payroll solutions that meet local and regional needs.
