Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior .NET Developer to lead our business process automation applications, modernising legacy systems and harnessing AI across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Technical leadership: Own the enhancement and maintenance of our .NET applications, providing hands-on guidance across design, development and code review. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) advising stakeholders on the impact of proposed changes, and mentor the team on coding standards, secure development and delivery discipline. • Application review and documentation: Conduct structured, end-to-end reviews of each application’s code, architecture, data model, business rules, integrations and infrastructure. Use the findings to produce and maintain architecture diagrams, data flows, integration specifications and runbooks for monitoring, troubleshooting and recovery. • Architecture improvement and modernisation: Assess the current design to identify improvements in scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability and security, including reuse opportunities. Prioritise these into a roadmap by business impact, risk and effort, and lead endorsed refactoring, vulnerability remediation and technical debt reduction. • Issue resolution and root cause analysis: Support the L2 team as the L3 escalation point for complex defects and production incidents, diagnosing issues through logs and system behaviour and delivering sustainable fixes that address underlying causes. • Quality and testing: Define and maintain baseline unit, integration and regression test scenarios for validating incident fixes, upgrades and enhancements before release. • Agile delivery and DevOps: Drive Scrum/Agile delivery with cross-functional teams so enhancements and fixes are delivered on time and to a high standard, and strengthen DevOps practices across build, deployment and release, including CI/CD and observability. • AI-enabled engineering: Keep abreast of advances in AI and .NET, and apply approved AI assisted SDLC tools to raise productivity and code quality.
