Senior Test Lead - Automotive HiL Testing

Job Summary

  • Lead and manage the embedded software testing team for medical device projects.
  • Define and implement test strategies, plans, and procedures for embedded systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, and other relevant medical standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, systems engineering, and regulatory affairs.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, RTOS, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to Project planning/Estimation phases
  • Has excellent written and oral communication skills as well as facilitation skills
  • Experience or knowledge of testing complex electro-mechanical system software applications, human-machine interaction systems, or embedded systems is required.
  • Writing and executing test cases ensuring that they meet provided requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Ensuring consistent use of our Quality Management System tools and to document Software Verification Protocols and test results
  • Follow and adhere to the best practices of software test engineering, QA practices and processes in the organization
  • Provide peer review of technical and verification documents
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative agile team environment
  • Effective testing of applications during the Software Development Lifecycle including design, implementation, and execution
  • Experience working within a regulated environment.
  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks for embedded systems.
  • Team and Resource management experience.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity standards for medical devices
  • Experience working with and communicating ideas effectively in a multi-functional team of mechanical, software, and system engineers.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Strong hands-on experience working with robots, controllers, vision, safety networks, servo, I/O, integration, and instrumentations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate With Clients And Team Members To Analyze Functional And Design Specifications, Identifying Performance Concerns And Inconsistencies While Ensuring The Necessary Test Environments And Infrastructure For Automotive Hil Testing Are Maintained And Updated.
2. Identify Opportunities For Process Improvement In Automotive Hil Testing Methodologies And Tools, Implementing Best Practices To Enhance The Efficiency And Effectiveness Of The Testing Process.
3. Oversee The Creation And Execution Of Automated Test Scripts Using Testing Frameworks, Ensuring Consistency And Compliance With Quality Standards To Mitigate Risks In Embedded Systems Testing.
4. Develop And Mentor Qa Engineers In The Use Of Automotive Hil Testing Frameworks, Enhancing Their Technical Capabilities And Improving Team Productivity.

Skill Requirements

1. Advanced Proficiency In Automotive Hil Testing And Embedded Systems Testing Methodologies.
2. Strong Understanding Of Test Planning, Execution, And Automation Practices.
3. Familiarity With Testing Frameworks And Tools Relevant To Automotive Hil Testing.
4. Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Engage With Stakeholders Effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
