The Senior Test Engineer will focus on functional, integration, and automation testing of APIs, workflows, and enterprise integrations. The role involves building reusable automation frameworks to validate business rules, notifications, approvals, and external system interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and execute functional and API test cases for backend services
• Develop and maintain automation test suites for regression and integration testing
• Validate workflow automation behavior including event triggers, notifications, approvals, and retries
• Test system resilience including retry, deduplication, and error handling scenarios
• Validate integrations with:
o Notification platforms (email/Teams equivalents)
o ITSM or ticketing tools
• Support CI/CD pipelines with automated quality checks
• Perform defect analysis and collaborate with development teams for resolution
Required Skills
• Strong experience in API testing and automation (REST)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python / Java / JavaScript)
• Strong SQL skills for backend validation
• Understanding of integration testing and distributed systems behavior
Preferred Skills
• Experience testing workflow engines or low code platforms
• Familiarity with mocking/stubbing external services
• Experience in cloud based application testing
