Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in Nokia Packet Core (PaCo), HLR/HSS, IMS, and cloud-native deployments on AWS. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end validation, testing, troubleshooting, and certification of Nokia telecom network functions deployed in cloud environments, ensuring carrier-grade performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Telecom Network Validation
  • Validate Nokia Packet Core (PaCo) network functions deployed on AWS infrastructure.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, interoperability, and system testing for HLR/HSS and IMS network elements.
  • Validate subscriber provisioning, authentication, registration, mobility, and policy-related workflows.
  • Execute VoLTE, VoWiFi, SIP signaling, Diameter signaling, LTE/5G Core, and subscriber management test scenarios.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
Cloud Validation & Performance Testing
  • Validate telecom workloads running on AWS services, including EC2, EKS, VPC, ELB, Auto Scaling, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Perform performance, scalability, resiliency, failover, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Validate cloud-native deployments using containers and Kubernetes.
  • Conduct benchmarking and capacity assessment for telecom applications.
Troubleshooting & Defect Analysis
  • Analyze logs, traces, packet captures, and signaling messages to identify issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis of validation failures and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
  • Debug SIP, Diameter, HTTP/HTTPS, GTP, SCTP, and LTE/5G signaling-related issues.
  • Track defects and validate fixes through the software release lifecycle.
Automation & CI/CD
  • Design and maintain automated test frameworks.
  • Integrate validation activities into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Utilize automation tools for deployment validation and regression execution.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare validation reports, defect summaries, and release certification documents.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide validation sign-off recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, DevOps, cloud, and customer engineering teams.

Telecom Domain
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Nokia Packet Core (PaCo)
    • HLR/HSS
    • IMS Core
    • VoLTE / VoWiFi
    • LTE EPC and 5G Core Architecture
    • SIP, Diameter, GTP, SCTP, DNS
Cloud Technologies
  • Hands-on experience with AWS:
    • EC2
    • EKS/Kubernetes
    • VPC
    • IAM
    • ELB
    • Auto Scaling
    • CloudWatch
  • Experience validating cloud-native Network Functions (CNFs) and VNFs.
Validation & Automation
  • Test planning and execution.
  • Python/Shell scripting.
  • Robot Framework, PyTest, or similar automation tools.
  • Packet analysis using Wireshark/TShark.
  • Defect management tools such as Jira.
Linux & Networking
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, load balancing, and network security.
