Job Summary

he team will own planning, deployment, validation, upgrades, health checks, automation, and customer-specific playbook development across the Nokia Core Network portfolio. The objective is to deliver deployments through a lean, highly skilled pod model rather than traditional domain-siloed teams.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Operations

  • Execute end-to-end deployment activities for Nokia Core Network solutions.
  • Perform platform installation, upgrades, migrations, validations, and health assessments.
  • Execute MOP workflows involving:
    • Pre-checks
    • Deployment/Upgrade activities
    • Post-check validations
  • Support brownfield, greenfield, and migration engagements. 

Customer Playbook Development

  • Create customer-specific deployment playbooks.
  • Adapt standard deployment workflows to T-Mobile operational requirements.
  • Support automation and orchestration-driven deployment models.
  • Cross-Domain Collaboration
  • Work across multiple telecom domains rather than a single product area.
  • Collaborate with OpenShift, Packet Core, IMS, Policy, Charging, Hardware, and Orchestration teams.
  • Participate in 24x7 support and deployment activities.

Mandatory Skills

Telecom Core Skills

Strong experience in one or more of:
  • Packet Core (CMG, UPF, SMF, SGW, PGW)
  • IMS
  • Policy Control
  • Charging Systems
  • Signaling Solutions
Knowledge of adjacent domains is highly desirable.
Cloud Native Skills
  • Red Hat OpenShift
  • Kubernetes
  • Containerized Network Functions (CNF)
  • Cloud-native deployment concepts
  • Linux Administration

Orchestration & Automation

Experience with:
  • NCOM
  • NCS / CBIS
  • Network orchestration frameworks
  • Deployment automation
  • Workflow automation and scripting

Infrastructure Skills

Knowledge of:
  • Nokia hardware platforms
  • Dell servers
  • HP servers
  • Legacy telecom hardware environments
Experience validating software releases on legacy hardware is a plus.

Desired Skills

  • Multi-domain telecom architecture understanding.
  • Crossplane exposure.
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Python, Shell scripting.
  • Playbook-driven operations.
  • AI-assisted operations and deployment practices.
  • Customer-facing deployment experience with Tier-1 operators such as T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T.
