As a Test Technician I, you will be part of an R&D team developing high speed SerDes PHYs. We are looking for a technician with practical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to the team.

 

Working in an R&D test lab environment, responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating shipping, purchasing, and receiving of equipment and laboratory supplies
• PCB rework
• Maintaining lab equipment in a safe, clean orderly and operational manner
• Assembling test systems and equipment according to plans
• Maintaining equipment calibration records and schedule
• Using diagnostic equipment to perform testing on test platforms and silicon implementations of high-speed analog integrated circuits
• Creating test reports for analysis following standard lab practices

 

You will work with a cross functional design team of analog designers and hardware engineers from a wide variety of backgrounds.  

 

Requirements include:

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiar and capable of using PCB soldering rework tools
• College diploma/university degree in engineering technology
• Proficient use of Office software tools

 

Other assets include:

• Knowledge of communication systems like Ethernet, PCIe, SATA, and USB3.1
• PAM4 signaling, test and debug background
• Experience with software programming and scripting using Python, C, and MATLAB
• Basic Computer Networking
• Jira and Confluence
• Ability to lift heavy lab equipment (up to 20 kg (44 lbs.))

Key Responsibilities

1. To participate in functional as well as technical discussions with the client /team to understand functional /design specifications ,highlight performance concerns, inconsistencies ,ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place/kept upto date.
2. To Identify opportunities for process improvement in testing methodologies /tools and Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
3. To oversee the creation and execution of automated test scripts ensuring consistency and alignment with quality standards to minimize exposure.
4. To develop/guide and mentor QA engineers in the use of the testing framework , enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
