Job Summary

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead with strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript to lead quality engineering initiatives across enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining automation strategy, building scalable test frameworks, leading automation teams, and driving quality engineering best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Test Automation Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers across multiple workstreams.
  • Define and implement automation testing strategies aligned with business and project objectives.
  • Review and enhance existing automation frameworks for scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Drive shift-left testing practices and quality engineering culture.

Automation Framework Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using:
    • Playwright
    • TypeScript
    • Node.js
  • Develop automated functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
  • Implement reusable components and libraries to improve automation efficiency.

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to enable automated quality gates.
  • Support build validation and release automation initiatives.
  • Experience with tools such as:
    • Azure DevOps
    • GitHub Actions
    • Jenkins
    • GitLab CI/CD

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and Delivery Managers.
  • Provide regular reporting on automation progress, quality metrics, risks, and recommendations.
  • Drive defect triage and root-cause analysis discussions.

Quality Governance

  • Establish automation standards, coding practices, and review mechanisms.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, testing methodology, and governance processes.
  • Track and report KPIs including:
    • Automation Coverage
    • Defect Leakage
    • Test Execution Success Rate
    • Release Quality Metrics
