Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead with 10 years of overall IT experience and at least 5 years in Automation Testing. The role is responsible for leading the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of Automation Testing Suites, Frameworks, and Test Cases using Playwright or Selenium. The candidate will drive automation strategy, mentor team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality software releases in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the automation testing team in developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions.
  • Design, develop, and enhance scalable automation testing frameworks and test suites.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and define requirements.
  • Develop automated UI test scripts using Playwright or Selenium.
  • Automate functional, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios across multiple applications and technologies.
  • Oversee defect lifecycle management, including defect tracking, verification, reporting, and resolution using JIRA.
  • Ensure automation deliverables meet quality, security, scalability, and reliability standards.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve existing automation frameworks and test assets.
  • Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and status dashboards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing to automation engineers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Perform manual testing when required, with a focus on maximizing test automation coverage.

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • 10 years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in Automation Testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Playwright or Selenium Automation Frameworks.
  • Expertise in:
    • Cucumber (BDD)
    • TestNG
    • Maven
    • Page Object Model (POM)
  • Experience designing and maintaining automation testing frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency with:
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Good to Have

  • API Automation Testing using:
    • Karate
    • Rest Assured
  • CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation best practices.
  • Experience across diverse technology platforms and enterprise applications.

Other Requirements
