Senior Test Lead

Job Summary

 Testing/Validation and Deployment of Packet core for a tier-1 customer          

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1    Understand customer use cases, deployment topology, acceptance criteria, release scope, and operational constraints.                
2    Integrate software builds with dependent network functions, cloud platforms, tools, and external interfaces.                
3    Create and execute end-to-end, feature, regression, interoperability, upgrade, scale, and failure-recovery tests.                
4    Reproduce customer issues, collect logs and traces, isolate faults, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams.                
5    Track defects from discovery through triage, fix validation, closure, and customer communication.                
6    Support onsite activities such as environment readiness, joint debugging, demonstrations, acceptance testing, and release cutover.                
7    Automate repetitive test flows, health checks, data collection, and result reporting.                
8    Maintain test plans, topology documents, runbooks, known-issue lists, dashboards, and daily or weekly status.    

Skill Requirements

1    Experience in Packet Core telecom integration, system testing, or customer validation.                
2    Strong Linux, networking, protocol, log-analysis, and troubleshooting skills.                
3    Ability to work across multiple network functions, interfaces, cloud layers, and dependent systems.                
4    Experience with test planning, defect management, release validation, and customer-facing technical communication.                
5    Automation capability using Python, shell, Robot Framework, or equivalent.                
6    Ability to collaborate in an onsite-offshore delivery model and handle priority issues.    

Other Requirements

1    Knowledge of mobile core, IMS, packet core, orchestration, or cloud-native network functions.                
2    Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, public cloud, traffic generators, protocol analyzers, and observability platforms.                
3    Prior experience in telecom customer labs, production trials, or acceptance testing.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
