Job Summary

As a Senior Test Specialist focused on Android, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality through the design and implementation of robust testing strategies. Your expertise will guide the testing process, mentor junior team members, and advocate for quality assurance best practices throughout the development lifecycle. You will be instrumental in optimizing testing efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Implement Comprehensive Test Plans For Complex Android Features And Modules, Ensuring Alignment With Overall Project Objectives.
2. Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks Such As Appium And Espresso To Enhance Testing Efficiency, Advocating For Timely Defect Resolutions And Adherence To Quality Assurance Best Practices.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Android Applications, Following Established Procedures To Facilitate Thorough Testing And Quality Control.
4. Collaborate Proactively With Developers To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions, Actively Participating In Test Reviews To Promote Continuous Improvement And Share Best Practices Across The Team.
5. Stay Current With The Latest Trends In Android Testing Technologies, Contributing To The Development And Maintenance Of Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries While Implementing Innovative Testing Approaches To Address The Evolving Complexities Of Software.

Skill Requirements

1. Advanced Proficiency In Android Testing Tools And Frameworks Such As Appium And Espresso.
2. Strong Understanding Of Test Automation Strategies And Best Practices For Mobile Applications.
3. Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Analyze Complex Software Issues.
4. Familiarity With Version Control Systems, Such As Git, And Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (Ci/Cd) Practices.
5. Solid Knowledge Of Agile Methodologies And The Software Development Life Cycle (Sdlc).

Other Requirements

1. Istqb Certified Tester Or Equivalent Certification Is Valuable.
2. Optional But Recommended Certifications In Advanced Test Automation Or Mobile Testing.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
