Senior Test Specialist - BIOS Validation

Job Summary

The Senior Test Specialist in BIOS Validation plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and performance of firmware through the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies. This position emphasizes mentoring team members, driving best practices, and collaborating closely with development teams to enhance the overall quality assurance process within the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Implement Detailed Test Plans For Complex Bios Features And Modules, Ensuring Alignment With System Specifications And Quality Standards.
2. Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks Such As Python And Jenkins To Enhance Testing Efficiency And Effectiveness, While Advocating For Timely Defect Resolutions And Adherence To Quality Assurance Best Practices.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Bios Environments Following Established Procedures, Ensuring Comprehensive Tracking And Reporting.
4. Collaborate Proactively With Developers To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions, Participating Actively In Test Reviews To Promote Continuous Improvement And Knowledge Sharing Within The Team.
5. Stay Current With The Latest Trends In Testing Technologies, Contributing To The Creation And Maintenance Of Robust Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries, While Implementing Innovative Testing Approaches To Effectively Address Evolving Complexities In Bios Software.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Proficiency In Bios Validation And Testing Methodologies.
2. In-Depth Knowledge Of Automation Tools And Frameworks, Including Python, Jenkins, And Test Management Tools.
3. Strong Understanding Of Firmware Architecture And Bios Functionalities.
4. Excellent Analytical Skills For Defect Identification And Resolution.
5. Solid Communication And Mentoring Skills To Guide Junior Team Members.

Other Requirements

1. Recommended Certifications: Istqb Advanced Level Test Manager, Certified Software Test Engineer (Cste) Optional But Valuable.
