Senior Test Specialist - Embedded Device Testing

Job Summary

The Senior Test Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of embedded devices through comprehensive testing strategies. This position emphasizes the design, execution, and optimization of testing processes while mentoring junior team members. The role is integral to the development lifecycle, advocating for best practices and driving continuous improvement in quality assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design And Implement Thorough Test Plans For Complex Embedded Device Features And Modules Using Python, Ensuring All Functional And Non-Functional Requirements Are Validated.
2. Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks Such As Selenium And Robot Framework To Enhance Test Efficiency, Advocating For Timely Fixes And Adherence To Quality Assurance Best Practices.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Embedded Systems, Following Established Procedures To Maintain Accurate Records And Facilitate Effective Resolution Processes.
4. Collaborate With Developers To Analyze, Prioritize, And Verify Defect Resolutions, Actively Participating In Test Reviews To Drive Continuous Improvement And Foster Best Practice Sharing.
5. Stay Current With The Latest Trends In Testing Technologies, Contributing To The Development And Maintenance Of Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries, While Implementing Innovative Testing Methodologies To Tackle Evolving Software Complexities.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert Knowledge Of Embedded Device Testing Methodologies And Practices.
2. Excellent Proficiency In Python For Test Automation And Scripting.
3. Strong Understanding Of Automation Tools And Frameworks Such As Selenium And Robot Framework.
4. Solid Experience With Defect Tracking And Management Tools Like Jira Or Bugzilla.
5. In-Depth Understanding Of Software Development Cycles And Testing Best Practices.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications Include Istqb Advanced Test Manager Or Certified Software Tester (Cste).
2. Relevant Certifications In Embedded Systems Testing Are Encouraged.
