Job Summary

Job role: Automation Tester (Playwright) & Tosca

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Tester with strong expertise in Playwright to support enterprise web application testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks and scripts to ensure high-quality software releases.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to validate application functionality, improve testing efficiency, and support continuous integration and delivery processes. Experience with modern test automation practices and strong analytical skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Create scalable and reusable automation frameworks following industry best practices.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios.
• Execute automated regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and functional testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application changes and testing impacts.
• Review application requirements and technical specifications to ensure test coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Generate and maintain test execution reports and quality metrics.
• Support manual testing activities when required.
• Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and testing standards.
• Contribute to quality assurance best practices and testing governance across projects.
• Mentor junior testers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skill Requirements

Must have skills:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web application automation.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Smoke Testing
  • System Testing
• Experience writing automation scripts
• Experience with defect management and test management tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Git and source code version control.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Tosca Automation Testing.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing and cross-browser testing.
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domains.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Understanding of SQL and database testing concepts.

Other Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant Automation Testing experience.
• Proven experience in creating, executing, and maintaining automated test suites.
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, Tosca Certification, Playwright Certification, etc.) will be an advantage.
• Seniority level expected: Mid-Level to Senior.
