Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC FI/CO Functional Consultant to support and enhance financial and controlling processes within a complex SAP ERP landscape. The role requires strong process integration knowledge across finance, manufacturing and logistics, with a particular emphasis on inventory accounting and product costing in international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and optimize SAP ECC FI/CO modules in line with business requirements.
- Lead and contribute to end-to-end project implementations, rollouts, and system enhancements.
- Perform requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and contribute to transport coordination.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate accounting and operational requirements into SAP solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration between FI/CO and MM, SD, PP modules, especially for inventory valuation and cost flows.
- Support period-end closing activities from IT side, including inventory valuation, WIP calculation, and variance analysis.
- Provide functional specifications for developments (RICEFW objects) and coordinate with technical teams.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Focus Areas: Inventory & Costing
- Strong expertise in:
- Inventory valuation methods (standard price)
- Material Ledger (actual costing, multi-currency valuation)
- Product costing (standard cost estimates, cost rollups, cost component split)
- Integration with MM and PP for goods movements and production postings
- WIP calculation, settlement, and variance analysis
- Ability to analyze end-to-end cost flows from procurement through production to financial reporting.
Ways of Working (Projects & Change Management)
- Experience working in structured project environments (DSDM, hybrid of Agile/Waterfall).
- Strong ownership of:
- Business requirement gathering and workshop facilitation
- Functional design documentation (FDDs)
- Testing cycles (unit testing, SIT, UAT)
- Cutover planning and hypercare support
- Proactive handling of Change Requests:
- Perform impact assessments across FI/CO and integrated modules
- Ensure documentation, traceability, and transport governance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Comfortable working in distributed teams using MS Teams and tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Functional knowledge in Operations and supply chain processes
- Manufacturing (PP – production orders, process orders)
- Logistics (MM – procurement, inventory management)
- SD – order-to-cash integration
- Exposure to S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
- Experience with interfaces, IDocs, and third-party integrations (e.g., payment platforms, invoice management tools).
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of SAP FI/CO functional experience in ECC environments.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and controlling principles.
- Proven track record in SAP implementations or large-scale enhancements.
