Rotation against Anusha\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nKey Responsibilities:\\\\r\\\\nOperational Excellence\\\\r\\\\nOwn high-availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and performance tuning strategies.\\\\r\\\\nProactively monitor database health, storage, and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or custom dashboards.\\\\r\\\\nConduct root cause analysis for database issues and implement permanent fixes.\\\\r\\\\nPlanning & Governance\\\\r\\\\nCollaborate with application and infrastructure teams during planning, development, and release cycles.\\\\r\\\\nParticipate in capacity planning, licensing optimization, and cost governance.\\\\r\\\\nDefine and enforce database security, compliance, and encryption policies.\\\\r\\\\nDevelop and present technical recommendations, best practices, and improvement plans.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nRequired Skills & Experience:\\\\r\\\\n6+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with at least 3+ years in Azure SQL.\\\\r\\\\nProven hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.\\\\r\\\\nStrong knowledge of T-SQL, Query tuning, Index strategies, and Execution plans.\\\\r\\\\nExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for database deployments\\\\r\\\\nPowershell/Terraform/Ansible ( any one of them) - Secondary(Hands on)\\\\r\\\\nDeep understanding of Azure networking, identity (AAD), monitoring, and cost management as it relates to databases.\\\\r\\\\nExpertise in HA/DR designs including geo-replication, failover groups, and AlwaysOn AGs.\\\\r\\\\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, etc.).\\\\r\\\\nPreferred Qualifications:\\\\r\\\\nMicrosoft Azure Certifications (DP-300, AZ-104, or AZ-305).\\\\r\\\\nExperience with hybrid cloud/on-prem database environments.\\\\r\\\\nWorked with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible to build Azure DevOps pipelines\\\\r\\\\nFamiliarity with PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, or other cloud-native data stores is a plus.\\\\r\\\\nExperience participating in architecture review boards and preparing engineering proposals.
