Job Summary

Role Overview The Zscaler L2 Engineer is responsible for deployment, administration, and support of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions. The role involves handling escalated issues from L1, performing troubleshooting, policy management, and ensuring secure access controls aligned with enterprise security standards. 

Key Responsibilities

Zscaler Technologies • Hands-on experience with: o Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) o Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) • Knowledge of Zscaler Client Connector • Experience in policy configuration and log analysis Networking Skills • Strong understanding of: o TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS o Proxy architecture and web gateways o VPN and Zero Trust architecture Security Concepts • Web security, threat prevention, and DLP basics • SSL inspection and certificate management • Identity-based access control Integration & Tools • Experience with: o Azure AD / Active Directory integration o SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) o Logging and monitoring platforms Other Skills • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python – preferred) • Knowledge of firewall / network security (Palo Alto, Fortinet – nice to have) Certifications (Preferred) • Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) • Zscaler Certified Platform Specialist (ZCPS) • Microsoft Azure Security certifications (AZ-500) • Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP – optional)

Manage and support Zscaler platforms (ZIA & ZPA) in a production environment • Troubleshoot and resolve L2 escalations related to web filtering, access issues, and policy enforcement • Configure and maintain: o URL filtering, SSL inspection, sandboxing policies o Application access policies in ZPA • Analyze traffic logs and security events to detect anomalies • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents • Handle user access issues related to VPN replacement / Zero Trust network access • Work on integration with: o Identity providers (Azure AD, Okta) o SIEM tools (Sentinel, Splunk) • Optimize policies for performance and security posture • Support deployment activities, upgrades, and changes • Document configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps • Collaborate with network, SOC, and cloud teams
