IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Taiwan) Role Summary : Seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer to support enterprise IT operations in Taiwan. The role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of infrastructure services, including network, unified communications (UC), and server environments, while supporting both local and global IT initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Network Operations & Support • Provide day-to-day support for enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN environments • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure uptime and reliability • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls • Support network upgrades, migrations, and integration activities across sites • Collaborate with global network teams for incident resolution and project execution 2. Unified Communications (UC) Support • Deploy, configure, and support enterprise UC solutions including Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, Zoom, or Webex • Manage conferencing systems, IP telephony, and audio-visual infrastructure in meeting rooms • Coordinate with vendors for UC equipment procurement and installation • Ensure optimal performance and user experience for collaboration platforms • Support troubleshooting of voice, video, and conferencing issues 3. Server & Infrastructure Management • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux environments) • Support server provisioning, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning • Ensure high availability and data integrity through backup and recovery processes • Assist in data center operations, hardware installations, and rack/stack activities • Monitor system health and proactively resolve infrastructure issues 4. Incident & Service Management • Handle incidents and service requests through ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) • Ensure timely resolution of issues within defined SLAs • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, configurations, and resolutions 5. Project & Deployment Support • Participate in infrastructure rollout projects including new site setups and expansions • Support IT components in real estate or facility buildouts (network, UC, server setup) • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including security, cloud, and workplace services • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation for operational readiness Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills • Experience/knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN) • Experience with UC technologies (Microsoft Teams, MTR, VoIP systems, conferencing tools) • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers and virtualization platforms • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and monitoring tools • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is an added advantage Soft Skills • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work across time zones and support global teams
