Job Summary
Responsibilities (functions) § Defines security policies based on best practices and governing bodies. § Reviews and enforces firewall change requests for security compliance. § Evaluates firewall policies blacklists/whitelists, protocols not allowed, services to be disabled, inter-zone traffic allowed/not allowed and unused rule criteria. § Owns the compliance policy and is responsible for creating and maintaining it. § Performs periodic firewall policy verifications using automated firewall review tools to ensure no deviation occurred between approved and implemented firewall rules. § Assists in responding to requests/questions from auditors and third party assessors as required. Skill sets (knowledge) § In-depth knowledge and comprehension of BMO security policies, compliancy and audit requirements pertaining to firewall rules and configurations. § Familiar with BMO network architecture and design, including security zoning. § Solid understanding of IP / TCP and UDP protocols functionality. § Experience with firewall review and management tools (Tufin SecureTrack, Tufin SecureChnage, Checkpoint Provider 1, Juniper NSM, Space and STRM).
