Job Summary

 ServiceNow ITOM Developer Experience: 4–7+ Years Role Type: Development / IT Operations Management

Key Responsibilities

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer to design, implement, and support IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities on the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on enabling infrastructure visibility, accurate CMDB, and operational automation through Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management, while adhering to enterprise governance and ITIL best practices.

Skill Requirements

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITOM modules, including: o Discovery (On prem and Cloud) o Service Mapping o Event Management o Orchestration / Cloud Management (as applicable) • Maintain and optimize the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, CI relationships, and compliance with governance standards. • Configure and manage Discovery schedules, credentials, probes, and patterns. • Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with monitoring and third party enterprise tools. • Implement event rules, alerts, and automation to improve incident detection and response. • Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Troubleshoot ITOM, CMDB, and integration issues; support continuous improvement and platform optimization initiatives • Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures; support audits and governance reviews • Support platform upgrades, patches, BAU activities, and defect resolution. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and configuration records.

Other Requirements

Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands on experience with ServiceNow ITOM. • Proven expertise in CMDB, CI relationships, and Discovery patterns. • Experience with Service Mapping and Event Management. • Proficiency in JavaScript and Glide API (PowerShell/Python is an added advantage). • Experience integrating with monitoring tools such as SCOM, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Nagios, or similar. • Good understanding of ITIL v3/v4 processes. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
