Job Summary
Knowledge of Midrange/High-end HPE ProLiant and Blade servers, HPE Converged systems. Various options of booting the server from GRUB Prompt Upgrade Firmware of various components Vendor Co-ordination & follow-up with Hardware Vendors for the troubleshooting and the maintenance activities Knowledge on P2V (Physical to Virtual) and V2P (Virtual to Physical) migration activities
Role Description: Linux Administrator and Automation\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nHardware\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge of Midrange/High-end HPE ProLiant and Blade servers, HPE Converged systems.\\\\r\\\\nVarious options of booting the server from GRUB Prompt\\\\r\\\\nUpgrade Firmware of various components\\\\r\\\\nVendor Co-ordination & follow-up with Hardware Vendors for the troubleshooting and the maintenance activities\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge on P2V (Physical to Virtual) and V2P (Virtual to Physical) migration activities\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nGeneral Responsibility\\\\r\\\\nAdhering to SLAs\\\\r\\\\nITIL Processes awareness and adhering to\\\\r\\\\nHelping team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems\\\\r\\\\nHandling Incidents, Service requests, Change and Problem Tickets (RCA and CAPA)\\\\r\\\\nTroubleshooting technical issues\\\\r\\\\nEnsuring that the processes are adhered to\\\\r\\\\nUnderstanding of multi-geo support environment\\\\r\\\\nEnsure maximum uptime according to the SLA\\\\r\\\\nImplementing new technologies and design changes\\\\r\\\\nApplying patches/upgrades to maintain security level\\\\r\\\\nAssist in implementation of Data center consolidation\\\\r\\\\nHealth check-up of Linux servers\\\\r\\\\nDefining parameters and threshold for server proactive health monitoring\\\\r\\\\nDay-to-Day reporting tasks\\\\r\\\\nVendor co-ordination & follow-up\\\\r\\\\nPerform H/W & performance monitoring and implement recommendations\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nOperating System\\\\r\\\\nExtensive experience in Linux (Red Hat) server administration\\\\r\\\\nExtensive experience in troubleshooting of OS related issues like server performance issue, server down, network issues, Filesystem issues etc...\\\\r\\\\nHands-on experience in OS Patching update using offline and online tools\\\\r\\\\nConfiguration and Administration of RHEL Virtual, Physical and Cloud Servers\\\\r\\\\nBackup and restore of OS (working knowledge with Backup Teams using Snapshot or BMR)\\\\r\\\\nHands-on knowledge in Operating System Hardening\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge of system security, knowledge of SELinux would be an advantage\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge of device driver installation and configuration\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge of NAS, SAN storage, HBA cards and multipathing\\\\r\\\\nConfiguring Multipathing software on server to access redundant storage paths\\\\r\\\\nUnderstanding of the NFS and troubleshooting of NFS related issues.\\\\r\\\\nGood knowledge of Linux device files and creation\\\\r\\\\nGood knowledge of Oracle RAC cluster in Linux\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge of Cluster Package Build, Stop, Start, Failover, Failback and other maintenance activities Knowledge of build and manage the Disaster Recovery setup in any one of the cluster technologies\\\\r\\\\nAWS Cloud\\\\r\\\\nSetup/Managing Linux Servers on Amazon (EC2, EBS, ELB, SSL, Security Groups and IAM).\\\\r\\\\nCreating/Managing AMI/Snapshots/Volumes, Upgrade/downgrade AWS resources (CPU, Memory, EBS)\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge in CloudTrail and CloudWatch services.\\\\r\\\\nSetup/Managing VPC, Subnets; make the connection between different zones; Blocking suspicious IP/subnet via ACL\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\nAutomation\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge on Developing Ansible playbooks and modules\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge on Ansible Administration, configuration management, application deployment, and Infrastructure.\\\\r\\\\n

Extensive experience in Linux (Red Hat) server administration Extensive experience in troubleshooting of OS related issues like server performance issue, server down, network issues, Filesystem issues etc...
